Birthday Card for friend

Today was a friend's special birthday and this is the card I made for her. The backing papers were all from the Papermania(elegance) set. The card was finished with ribbon and flowers and the flourishes were Marianne dies. The tag was from a Spellbinders set. Wishing her a Happy birthday.

Birthday Card for Mum

Just showing the birthday card I have made for my mum's special birthday today.  The backing papers are from the Papermania (elegance) pack which I think are so glitz and glamour. I love them! The tag is a spellbinders die (one I use alot) and i have added florishes using the Maranne creatables dies. Also I have added flowers and ribbon to give the card an elegant look. I was really pleased with the way this card went together Happy Birthday to you.

Father's Day card and some scrapbooking

Yes that's right, two posts today. I may be starting to get the hang of this! Firstly as it was Father's day yesterday, I made this card for Sam, Laura and Hannah to give to their dad. The car has been stamped using the Papermania nostalgia classic cars set. I have used Papermania and DCWV backing papers as I think they work really well for men's cards. I used a Creative Expressions embossing folder for the background of the car and used weathered wood Distress ink to highlight it. The border piece around the car is a Spellbinders die(Banner Basics One) and the sentiment is from a stamp set from Creative Expressions(Dream Cars)

Secondly I have been experimenting with scrapbooking lately. I'm still a beginner but I am enjoying it. This layout shows my children on a visit to Stirling Castle when they were younger.

The background paper is from Brenda Pinnick(signature series). All the embellishments around the page are using Spellbinder Dies(Floral Flourishes, Foliage, Fancy Tags Two). I was really pleased with this layout and the way the colours blend nicely together.

It's your Day - vintage card

This is a card I made a while ago . I machined stitched around all the papers and the main image. The papers are from my stash and the middle blue/black piece is from the Papermania Capsule Collection paper pads. I have added lace, ribbons and flourishes .The flower in the bow I have made myself by gathering a piece of lace.The greeting says "It's your Day" although it's a bit hard to see from the image.
