Hello again and New challenge at Allsorts

 

Hello everyone. Well I have moved house but it is going to take me a few more days to get organised but my things are in my new craft room ready to be unpacked. Do I really have that much stuff I am asking myself!!!!

I have used a stamp for the lace background panels and a stamp image from Kanban and coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is from JustRite stamps and stamped onto a Spellbinders die cut tag.

Bye for a few days or so

No post from me today. Just to say I am not going to be blogging now for a few days as I am busy moving house. Apart from having nothing to craft with and an empty desk I will have no internet connection in between either. My challenge blogs have kindly let me have some time away from my DT commitments for the week.

As soon as I can get my things back I will be back!!

Metal Bars

Hello everyone and here's to the start to another week. Quite warm in the north today even though it is a bit overcast.

I used the sketch from Sketchy Colors for this one and rotated it on it's side.

I have been on my steampunk travels again and love using this metal foil. I have made another piece of the riveted patchwork metal and have used different tools to create the rivets and staples. I have also die cut some cogs and distress stained them before grunging them up a bit.
The background was made using distress inks(Iced Spruce, Stormy Sky, Wild Honey and Walnut Stain) and then put through an embossing folder for the grid work.

Travelling Tickets

 

Hello everyone and hope you all had a good weekend. The weather has been a bit hiss and miss here but I'm still finding it warmer than has been.

 

This card I made following the sketch this week from Sketch Saturday.

                                                      

 I have used my favourite atlas stamp from JustRite stamps and coloured with distress inks (Salty Ocean and Vintage Photo).

 

I then stamped all the tickets and arranged them as in the sketch. The tickets were then over stamped randomly with a postage mark and a compass point and brad used for a spinner in the middle.

 

I hope you like my take on the sketch.

It's Time for Tea over at Allsorts

I have made a Recipe Book and used my favourite tea time image from Indigo Blu . There are lots of matting and layering of different pieces and some stamped Italic lettering. At the bottom are some stamped cutlery images hanging on a brad.

Vintage Transport

Hello everyone and I seem to be doing ok this week with posting. Will need to slow down next week though and then perhaps not a lot while I move!!

Todays card has a lot of inking with distress inks and masking in the background. Love this image of the men and have used a new die from Mariannes Dies of the vintage Bicycle. Looks really well when die cut out.

Tim Holtz tags June 2013

Hello everyone and I'm back for the second time today!!.
This evening I wanted to join in with the Tim Holtz Tags. I haven't joined in for a while and felt like learning some new techniques.

This wasn't the first attempt at colouring(my rubbish bin tells that tale!!!) but I figured the best I was able to do. Maybe I need to practice with the distress markers a bit more but nothing ventured, nothing gained so they say!!!

I cut into the wings so the background shows through underneath. I added twine instead of ribbon and a wooden embellishment.

Just for You

Hello everyone and I am still here behind a packing box!! Will I be able to find my desk soon I am asking myself!!!
Anyway still keeping a few essential supplies near me(It is still amounting to a fair bit)I have used this Stamper's Anonymous stamp for this one.
Quite a few Different ways of doing things in this one for me. A mask embossed and coloured in the background. The centre strip is a mechanical mask embossed on black card and Pewter perfect pearls over the top.
The favourite for me is the background Panel behind the image. I used the patchwork riveted metal technique from Tim Holtz book using the foil sheets to create Faux metal looks.. Loved doing this and really love the way it has turned out. I had some left over so used it to die cut a pocket watch and love it!!I added a stamped greeting behind it.
I also added some metal link chain to give added emphasis .I really enjoyed making this one today.

Vintage Field Notes

Hello everyone and hope your week is going well.I am busy packing up as I am going to be moving house in two weeks time. Trying to hold onto my craft stuff for as long as possible though!!!!

Today I have a card using a La Blanche stamp of this vintage little boy. I think he may be reading his field notes about bugs and things!! I have used a stamp from Art Journey for the bugs in the background.
I have used distress inks(Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Antique Linen)
There are some die cut leaves cut from Cordinations card and sanded for a rustic look.

Father's day card

Hello everyone and another start to the week. Weather is a bit grey today up here but the sun may come out later!!
Today's card is for Father's Day this weekend and this card will be really appreciated. I have used the map background stamp from JustRite stamps and the centre image is from Inkylicious.
I have used the distress ink(Weathered wood) for the grey colour. Tickets are stamped and inked for embellishments.

It's Your Birthday

Hello everyone and a good start to the week up here weather wise. The sun is out and I'm hoping it stays like this.

The image on this card is from Flonzcraft and I have used distress inks(Squeezed lemonade and Peacock Feathers). I love the way these two colours go nicely together and makes me feel summery.

Have you heard the News!!

I have used a stamp from Sheena Douglass stamp set "Wouldn't it be Lovely" and embossed in cosmic shimmer powder and coloured using promarkers(Cocktail pink, Antique pink, blush, dusty pink, Black). There is the lace background stamp on the panels behind and flowers and feathers for embellishments. I have used dies from Spellbinders for the main image and sentiment label. The flower has been sprayed over with a Glimmer mist spray for shimmer and bling
