Easter cards

hello everyone and hope your all enjoying the weekend. It's starting to brighten up here now after a dull start this morning.

I have been making some easter cards for a local cathederal and hopefully they will raise some funds for them.

This is a bit picture heavy now:

As you can see they are a bit different to my usual style but I hope they like them. I have used several stamped images and a die from Mariannes dies for the flowers and a spellbinders die for the leaves.

The cross on the first card is a die from Spellbinders D-Lites

There is a bingo card stamp from kaisercraft and a background floral script stamp from Inkylicious. the distress inks I have used are Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon. The background wall stamp is from BoBunny and stamped repeatedly.

Live the life you've imagined

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good start to the week. I managed to finish all my housework nice and early today so have treated myself to some crafting time this afternoon.

I have used stamps from Inkylicious and Kaisercraft for this one. The colours used were from Distress inks - Shaded Lilac, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive. There are some bitty blossoms from Spellbinders and the foliage border along the bottom edge is from Sizzix. I thought it would add some nice dimension to it all.

Sending love and Smiles

Hello everyone and hope your all well.

I have been having a play with the picture frame boxes from Tonic. They were easy to put together and the card took very well with the stamps and distress inks.
I started by inking the frame and stamping over first before I assembled it together. I made a background piece the same way for the inside and added a sentiment on top.
I have decorated the outside frame with some stamped flowers and die cut leaves. I also stamped and layered a butterfly in the corner.
I think these make a lovely gift for someone and Mother's Day.

The bird border is from Inkylicious and I think is lovely and subtle adding to the card. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft and I think will make any feel good.. I have used distress inks for colours.

More sketching...

Hello everyone and hope your all well.

So I carried on with a bit more sketching practice this weekend in the above two pictures.

The final picture is using a Sheena Douglass stamp and I was trying to create a vintage look postcard. I stamped the flower in Aged Mahogany distress ink and then masked it so that I could stamp another flower behind it. I coloured with the water brush and a few more shades of distress inks. I achieved the look I was wanting for this piece.
