Hello everyone and hope your all well. Not long to go now until the festive day is here and I can see the days getting busier for me!!!

Anyway allowing myself a bit of play time in between and this week over at the Stampotique designers Blog challenge it is "Anything Goes"

I have been playing in my journal and I have used a Daniel Torrente stamp for my image. I love his little heart he wears.

Journal 52- Newsprint

Hello everyone and hope your all ok.

I am catching up on a few of the journal 52 projects which I never managed to do before the end of the year and a new one starts!!

This is for the prompt week 37-Newsprint. I had a new stamp from Christy Tomlinson of a newsprint image. I stamped it onto a scanned background of mine and cut out some circles. I like the way when you add them to a page it really breaks up the background if it looks a little busy!!!
The main image is from Tumblefish Studios.

Create Your own Special Style -Journal 52

Hello everyone and hope your all ok. Weather is calming down here now after the winds and hailstorms.

I have given myself a bit of time in my craft room. I was missing having a few moments to myself and it is so easy at this time of year to get caught up with other things!!!

I am playing a bit of catch up with Journal 52 and this is for week 47- Wise Words
"Create Your own Style" we all have one and sometimes for some it is just finding what suits you.

The image is using one of the Dina Wakley stencils and black paint. I then went back in with a Dylusions number stencil and white paint.

Thanks for stopping b y today and visiting. Hope your all managing to find some time to yourselves as the festive season will be upon us very shortly!!

Dream

Hello everyone and hope your all well. The weather has really turned cold here in North Yorkshire!!

So I have been playing around with a bit more "messy" journaling and preferred the shape of the face on this one and even felt brave enough to add some features on it!!

The quote" There is something beautiful in everyday, You just have to find it!. Look for the positive.

So true!!!!

Hope your all having a good week and thanks for stopping by.

Learning Time but fun!!

Evening everyone and hope your having a lovely weekend.

Today I was fortunate to be able to attend a fabulous workshop at Art From the Heart and a fabulous class taught by the wonderful Kate Crane.

We were encouraged to day to let "loose" with colour with control!!

Most of my regular followers will note that PINK is not featured much(if ever) in my work but you know I really enjoyed adding this colour and coming out of my comfort zone!!
This piece has a little more before it is finished but I feel you may be seeing quite a bit more pieces from me with this style. Loved adding the texture paste(bottom Right corner)

Yesterday saw me going on my annual visit to the Knitting and Stitching show here in Harrogate. I had a good day and was made especially special with the meeting up of a fabulous blogging friend Debbie and her family. We had a lovely chat and I was so pleased we had the chance to meet.
Thanks for stopping by today and see you all later

Have You Got Your Christmas Jumper?

Hello everyone and welcome to my second post today. You will need to scroll down for my WOYWDW post this morning.

So it's that time again in the shops where Christmas Jumpers are everywhere to be seen.
I have made this door hanger for my craft room for Christmas and thought I would give my lovely Stampotique girl her own sparkly red jumper for the season. I think she suits it rather well!!!

The hanger has been painted and a Dylusion quote is added. It really fits my sense of humour!!

Hello everyone and half way through another week!!
So as it's WOYWDW over here this is mine this morning.
I am altering an advent tree shaped box for Christmas. I have gessoed and painted the main part and now have the little drawers to do and then the fun of decorating it can begin. May put another coat on the front of this as I think it may need it.

Christmas Ornaments

Hello everyone and back for my second post today.

I bought some chunky wooden star shapes recently and wanted to do something with them for Christmas. So today I sat at the craft desk and had a think!!
This is the result. I put some gesso on them and then painted over. I used some Stampotique stamped images and some Dylusions Christmas quotes and love the result!! These are going to look great hanging up.

I really must get on with some Christmas cards!!
But first a little play in my large journal. I thought this quote went so well with this image -or is it just my sense of humour!! The image is from Tumblefish Studios and the quote is from Dylusions stamps.
The background is lots of painted layers.

Handle With Care

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good weekend and all well.
I had my Flu Jab today so hopefully I will now be covered for these winter months ahead.

So my journal page today uses a new stamp for me from Stampotique. This weeks challenge over at the Stampotique Designers challenge is SPOTLIGHTING

So I looked at this fella and his little heart stood out to me. I have added some Glossy Accents over the heart and a painted little circle around it. I also added some text to the circles and one has the word HEARTS highlighted on it.

The "Handle With care" is also a Stampotique stamp and this fella looks like he needs it!

Also this week over at Journal 52 week 45 the prompt is-thinking of you so my page fits well for this one too.

I am joining in with this weeks challenge:

Handmade Journal book-Begin the Stories

Hello everyone and hope your all well.

So with reference to yesterdays post about WOYWD and decisions about what to use- Dylusions Sprays or paints and here is what I went with - yes I couldn't decide so ended up using both-well that is what mixed media is about to me!!!

I have been playing along with Journal 52 this year and have lots of loose pieces of journal pages from each prompt each week. So as it is coming to the end of the year I decided to make a journal to put them all in and also gave me a chance to use my new CINCH binding machine(which I must admit is a pretty cool piece of equipment!!) I was able to bind A4 no problems.

My tag background has lots of painted layers to it .

The team would love it if you would visit and join in with the challenge. They have  some fabulous
inspiration for you.

Thanks for visiting and I will be able to show you tomorrow hopefully which decision I took to this mornings WOYWD(Please scroll down for this one!!)

More journalling...

Hello everyone and hope you have had a good weekend so far. I had a lovely night last night at the bonfire event and the fireworks were spectacular. Always a very good show they put on .

Again I have been playing with some collage in my journal.
I started of with a Dylusions sprayed background but made it a bit too green for me. At first I wasn't sure but then just thought "keep working on it and see what happens!"
I'm pleased I did carry on and managed to make the background work for me.

Do Foolish Things.......

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good weekend so far. I am going to an organised fireworks display tonight with the family.
I must also say hello to all my new followers of late and so glad you have joined me on my blog. Hope you enjoy your visits here.

My regular followers will have noticed I thought it was time for a bit of blog makeover. I think it suits my style more these days- what do you think?

Anyway on to today and a new journal page. Another of the Busy Bees people collage images . the background is using Dylusions sprays inks and lots of random paint marks. The middle panel is a scanned print from a previous background I had made. This is great to do as you always have ready made prints that are your own work to cut up and work further on.(this was a very good tip I picked up after a workshop with Kate Crane)

Mini journalling Page

Hello everyone and hope your having a good week so far.

yesterday I attended a workshop at Art From the Heart with Kate Crane. We were working in mini journals. Now my journal page here is on a journal measuring 4" x 6" which is the smallest I have journalled on to date!

I had such fun working on this one . The monster image is a stamp from Stampotique(this is actually my first one I have used) and there are collaged pieces from Crowabout Studios. Lots of painty background . Blue and yellow backgrounds with a pop of orange work well for me as many of you who follow me will have noticed! The quote is from a Dylusions stamp set.

Autumnal Wall Plaque

Hello everyone and hope your all ok.

I was recently blog hopping and came across this fabulous project over at Simon Monday Challenge Blog by Emma Williams .
I loved this and wanted to do something like it for my kitchen. I had an MDF door hanger and painted it. I have added lots of different die cuts from card using distress paints backgrounds. I am really pleased with the way this has turned out.

Trick Or treat

Hello everyone and hope your week is going well so far.

So today I have made a card for Halloween. I love this time of year and all the Halloween decorations you can get.
I have used my distress inks and a stamp set from Stamper's Anonymous. I love this solid image of the children .

I have added some black fabric spider's web as I think it goes so well with this occasion and also tied some with the ribbon bow for dimension. The word "Boo" has been cut from a Sizzix die with black cardstock.

I have used this weeks current sketch from Creative Inspirations challenge and rotated it:
