Until the next house

Morning to you all. Well this is going to be my last post now until I am in my new house. As from tommorrow I will have no internet connection so thought I would post the last for today. It's going to be a busy time next week(firstly trying to find my craft stuff again. It's only been a week since it was packed away but I am missing it!!!).
Thought I'd show you something I made for the girls last xmas. It was to be a big surprise and I can't believe it has come round all ready.

We bought the girls tickets to go and see JLS and I wanted to make something special to put the tickets into. The image was a free download from the internet and I thought the patchwork colour squares fitted it nicely. I used a ticket stamp for the corners and added all the details on to it. It took them a while to "click" and then they were speechless for the first time. I placed the tickets in a clear card bag inside.
Well this is the event for next week so please think of me(and my ear plugs - too many screaming girls!!!)
I will try and visit you all before I go and hopefully will be back as soon as I can.

Workshop and a Tag Book

Afternoon to you all. Well it is so wet and miserable here today. This week I was very fortunate to attend a workshop at "Art from The Heart" owned by Dyan Reaveley. The workshop was taken by the lovely Sandra Hall and we made this beautiful "Queen Of Hearts Tag Book". I had an amazing day with lovely people and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was nice to learn new techniques and how to use my Bind-It-All which has been sitting in my cupboard for ages. There will be no stopping me now!!
The inside of the book is filled with lots of lovely pages with pockets and lots of tags.

Also I would like to show you some Tags I have been experimenting with.

These tags were sprayed with Dylusions sprays and ghosted over the top using Crafters Workshop templates. I'm very new to all of this so I like to just have a play and see what comes of it all. I think the colours of these sprays are so fab. I have doodled with the black pen using the same templates and will continue with them and see how much further they develop.

Keeping in Touch

Hi there everyone and hope your all keeping well. I've had a little bit of a sore throat and a few sneezes but keeping going. I don't have much to craft with at the moment as it is all in boxes.
This card has been made using stamps from Creative Expressions and has been stamped a few times and decoupaged. I have kept the card to a very monochromatic look and think it suits it well.
The backing papers are from DCWV and have lovely glittering effects on them . I have stamped some compasses and added them on for a bit of extras.
The image has been coloured with promarkers and just using a selection from the grey ones.

I have also been doing some knitting in between . I read on Dawny P's blog about the jumpers and beanie hats for the Fish and Chip  babies and thought they would give me some crafting during the moving process. You can check ou the blog post about it and the knitting pattern here. A great cause to help with. Mine is nearly finished so I'll show you later what it looks like.

Tim's 12 Tags of 2012 April

Today I had a few moments and decided to have my very first go at Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2012 April challenge. I didn't have all the supplies so had to improvise with a few of them. A lot of distress inks and some grungeboard. I followed the technique with the stamp and embossing folder . This is really new to me but I had a relaxing time following the tutorial and I am really pleased with the way it has turned out. Back to getting on with the house move now though.

not enough time

hi everyone and hope your all keeping well.
I have been a bit absent lately and thank you to all of you who left me comments on my last post. It was much appreciated.
I am having to move house again this month and you will know that can be stressful enough. I just haven't had anytime at the moment to finish anything and now have to pack everything up. I will hopefully be settled again at the end of the month so I am hoping to get back into the swing of things and rejoin all of you in crafting again.
I'm so sorry if I haven't been able to comment on your blogs of late but hopefully you will see me appear back again in some form or another.
Thankyou for popping over and hoping to start catching up again very soon.
