Birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to my new followers last week. I am so glad you have joined me here and hope you enjoy your visits!!
So I needed a birthday card this week and I just love this new stamp set from Dina Wakley-Splattered Girl.
The main image is so good that it will stand out and work alongside any sort of background.
I painted a piece of card randomly and then using Jet Black Archival Ink stamped the image onto it.
I matted and layered this piece onto some black card to stand it out and placed it onto a plain cream card base.
I used Dina Wakley -Handwritten Quote stamps set and stamped the greeting straight onto the card.

I think it has worked really well and the image piece is such a focal point.

Stay Brave

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today . Thanks and hello to my new followers and hope you enjoy your visits here.

I have been playing with a new product-Paint Comb Circle stencil from the Dina Wakley range of stencils.
This is a rigid plastic stencil which has circles on and each of three edges have a different style comb.
I have been playing with putting the paint directly onto my journal page and then using the comb edges to scrape the paint through the page. I love the difference in variation you can get from each of the three edges. I then put some gesso on the page and used the comb edges and scraped through the stencils for some extra dimension.
I used this as a background for this page and then stamped and masked the Silhouette Script(Dina Wakley stamp) multiple times from the bottom of the page.
The quote is from Handwritten Quotes(Dina Wakley stamps) and just sits nicely alongside the silhouette images.

I had a lot of fun making this page and I really like the results.

Scrapbook page

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
So it is the summer holidays and time for me to let my hair down and enjoy the season of music festivals.
This is a new one for me this year and Splendour festival was held in Nottingham at Wollaton Hall.
It was a great day with lots of great music and yes the traditional non stop rain!!! But that didn't stop me.
Anyway I have been working on a scrapbook page in my journal. Started with a background using a stencil and some texture paste. Painted over using Dina Wakley acrylic paints.
Added lots of background stamping and including the date for remembering the day.

See you again soon
