And now for my second card today. I treated myself to the Faye Whittaker CD rom from Joanna Sheen this weekend. This is from the All our Yesterdays themes and I love all of these designs as they are so timeless. This is one of my favourite images and it had to be the first one I used.
The backing papers are all from my stash box and just sitting there waiting for an image like this. I decided I add this kite to the card . I think it works really well with the scene.
I love this ribbon and only had a small piece in the bag. This is the perfect card for me to part with it.
I have also added a small Anchor charm in the corner which I think is so cute.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C121 - Lots of layers and embellishments
My Craft Spot challenge - Anything Goes
Lollipop Crafts challenge #65 - anything Goes
Pollycraft Monday challenge #125 - favourite things
I hope you like this card and the timeless image.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your day.

Best Wishes
Afternoon to you all. I don't know about where you are but it is dull in North Yorks today. So I thought let's brighten things up and hope Spring will be on it's way soon. My first card for today uses a Penny Black stamp of these two adorable hedgehogs. I have so many favourite images with these stamps. I have coloured this image using promarkers.
The backing papers are from Dovecraft and I have nested the image onto some Lace(which is something new for me).
The sentiment is from Papermania . I have added some paper flowers with gem middles along the bottom and a nice ribbon posy finishes this card.
Promarkers used: blush, dusky pink, cool grey 1, 2, 3, tulip yellow, saffron, moss green. sandstone, pastel blue.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black saturday challenge 186 - floral frenzy
Sketch Saturday challenge #192- sketch
Paperplay challenge 4 - lovely lace
My Mums Craft Shop challenge 41 - flowers
Little Darlings challenge 16 - Polka dots

I hope my card makes you feel like spring is soon(although I know it's cold at the moment) and you like it.

Snuggle up Hearts
Morning to all of you. Hope your weeks getting of to a good start. I bought this new stamp at the weekend and couldn't wait to get it inked up. It's so adorable don't you think!
Of course it's from the House Mouse range and I have used promarkers to colour the image.
The backing papers are from Dovecraft and their packs are great for finding things that match well together.
I have stitched on the image to emphasis the stitching on the boot with some white wool. It looks really effective. Of course you couldn't have a boot like this without a bit of bling and a few sparkly gems did just the trick. Love them!!
I have also added a border strip and laced it up to keep the theme running nicely. The hearts at the bottom are die cut and embossed using a spellbinders die.
My girls were not interested in their beads anymore and I had kept them in a cupboard)as you do!). When looking through the box I noticed these lovely heart shaped ones and I have recycled them to finish the card of perfectly, This bead box is now having permanent place in my craft room. Waste not want not as we say!!
I m entering this card into the following challenges:
House Mouse Monday and Friends challenge 112 -"Love" and a blog hop
The Sweet Stop challenge SSS143. sketch
Allsorts challenge - one or more hearts
Cute Card Thursday challenge 201 - Your'e a Gem
Paper Sundaes challenge #105 - Valentine's
One Stop Craft challenge #167 - Stitching
Sweet Stampin challenge - Let's see those animals
Passion for Promarkers challenge 133- Recycle it
Cupcake Craft challenge 177- Recycle
Penny Black and more at Allsorts challenge - Love and Hearts
Well I hope you like my card and thanks for looking. Hope you all have a good week

Take it Easy
Todays card is in keeping with my Scottish theme this week as we have celebrated Burns Night. The stamp is from Lili of the Valley called "Lazy Afternoon" and I have coloured the image using promarkers. This is another stamp that has been hiding in my box for a while and is now out on it's first outing
I made this card a bit different to usual and have tried a front folding card .
The backing papers are all from Hot of the Press and the inside paper has little deers on it.
I have used different Spellbinder dies for embellishments and have added some novelty button bugs and a pair of button binoculars. This liittle bug watcher is just having a wee rest from his adventures in the Highlands. The outside of the card looks like this:
The panels have been backed with some lovely check tartan paper and a sentiment from Little Claires.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Rainbow Lady's challenge 189 - Scottish themed
Lili of the Valley challenge 4-Oh Boy(a masculine card)
Sketch and Stash challenge 79 - Julie's sketch

Scrapbooking Saturday(Sunday)
Ok I know it's not saturday (hence the title)but yesterday I was away in Newark. My daughter had some serious training for basketball with her team before a match next week. This is a page I have made previouly but wanted to show it since we have celebrated Burns night earlier on this week. I spent most of my life growing up in the highlands of Scotland and this was a place near Aviemore that we loved going to for the day.
The papers and embellishments are from Hot of the Press.

Angel of Love
Todays card features some of the nicest images in decoupage I have ever had. This is one of the Angels from a series called Angel Whispers by Christine Haworth..I think the colours are so delicate and elegant. This card uses the image of Angel of Love. Each of the sheets comes with a definition of each Angel and I have added this to the card at the top and edged it with some sparkly gems..
It reads:
The Beautiful shining Angel of Love brings eternal goodness, bliss and joy into your life. Allow the light of the rose quartz crystal she holds, to heal your mind, body and spirit.
The backing papers are from Dovecraft and I have used my spellbinders die to layer it all together as this die has a lacey effect to it.There are two different beautiful ribbons which I have layered together and a die cut heart from Marrianne Dies.
I have kept the flowers to a minimum as I felt the delicateness of the image didn't need to be overlaoded with anything fancy.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft challenge 176 - All You Need Is Love
Lollipop Crafts challenge#64 - Wing It
Charisma Cardz challenge #3 - Pretty in Pink
DYSU challenge #56 - Ribbons
I know it's probably not your traditional valentine type card but I like it and it's different.
Hope you like the card and thanks for looking.

Knitted Up!
Todays card I had a bit of fun with. When I saw this decoupage sheet all I could think of was my unfinished Knitting sitting in the corner.
The decoupage sheet is from the House Mouse collections and I just love it. The backing papers are from Dovecraft(Back to Basics).
The fun part started to develop when I decided to make some knitting needles using cocktail sticks and adding some fuzzy beads to the ends. I knitted a small piece up and added a smalll ball of wool. Attached to the length of yarn is a charm of some scissors. There are some small buttons added to the image and the sentiment is from Little Claires(A Handmade Greeting Just For You).
I loved playing around with this card and it's nice to let your imagination run away sometimes.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Allsorts challenge 138 - Needles and Pins
I would also like to let you know about my other blog which I have started. As some of you will know I also love sewing. I was fortunate to go to college and study textiles and embroidery a few years ago. I have started this blog to show my current projects .If any of you are interested in having a look the link is here
You will be introduced to Henry Vlll and I am hoping to put some photos up this week of some textile work in my home. I hope you like it if you have a visit.
I hope you like the fun element in this card and thanks for looking.

Just for You
This card uses a new stamp of mine from Kanban. I am a big fan of all the Steampunk that seems to be around at the moment. I have coloured the image with Promarkers.
The backing papers are from DCWV and Papermania. I carried through the theme by lacing up the border strip and adding some die cut buttons. The flowers I made myself with Lace and added some ribbon roses to the image for some highlight to her.
The sentiment was made by cutting out letters from a Hot of the Press paper pad.
The final embellishment includes a black satin bow and I have added a pocket watch charm to keep in with the theme
Promarkers used: blush, dusky pink, poppy, crimson, black.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday #191- sketch
Crafty Ribbons challenge 11 = Love is Red and Black
Papertake weekly challenge -Happy highlight
Tuesday throwdown #82 - So charming !
Anything Goes challenge #59 - To the one I Love

Because Your gorgeous ..
My second card for today uses a gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamp called "New Hat". I have coloured this image using Promarkers and nested the image onto a spellbinders shape. I gave her some sparkly gems for her necklace and a little ribbon rose for her new hat.
The backing papers are all from Dovecraft(back to basics). They are a lovely set to use.
I have added some Marrianne die flourishes and some candy cane drops around the image in the nested shape.
I have used some elasticated ribbon from my box which has a lovely frilly edge to it and also tied a bow with it, adding a button on top.
For the embellishments, I made some lovely lace flowers and added some co-ordinating ones as well. For the final touch, a girl can't have a new hat without some lovely new Hat pins. Viola -and a perfect sentiment to finish the card.
Promarkers used: blush, dusky pink, lavender, lilac, sandstone, satin, pastel beige,
.

Scrapbooking Saturday
Well I think I'm doing allright with trying to keep up with scrapbooking. Today is another holiday page from our time in Disneyland Paris. This is one of those rare photos that feature me. I'm never very good behind the camera and this photo is over 10 years old. The papers are from papermania and I have used different Spellbinder dies for the embellishments. I wanted to keep the theme of the Beanstalk in this page.I have made some tags and hung them on the page as I thought this would be a fun element to do.
The tags are from Whimsey stamps and the flag letterings are from a Tim Holtz die cut.
Well I hope you like the layout as much as I do.
Thanks for visiting
Bye for now. Off now to try and get to grips with some Tim Holtz techniques.

With Love
Today I decided to have a go at the other stamp from the Debbie Moore Glitter and Glitz set. As I was really pleased with the way I paper pieced the other card I thought I would do the same with this one.
So here goes it's first outing.
My idea was that this card may be good for a valentine card and so decided to go with the reds. I used a piece of paper from a papermania set for the background, as. I thought this would work well with the image being all chandeliers.
Another piece of handmade paper embedded with gold studs worked really well as her dress and I carried the paper on to the card to tie it all in together. I added some silver gems to her hairpiece for extra bling. The rest of the image has been coloured using promarkers.
The label die is from Spellbinders and the heart and flourish are from Marrianne Dies. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
For extra embellishments I added some flowers, pearl chain and roses.
Promarkers used: blush, dusky pink, satin, pastel beige, crimson, gold, sandstone
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Creative card Crew challenge #2 - Seeing Red
Papertake weekly challenge - Bows, Bling and Blooms
DYSU challenge #55 - Patterned papers
Crafty Ann's challenge #57 - What's new pussycat
The Poodles parlour challenge - Valentines/love
Well I hope you like the card and thanks for looking. Hoping to be back tommorrow with some scrapbooking.

Winter Birthday
My second card for today uses a stamp from Debbie Moore designs. These stamps are from the Art deco range(Glitter and Glitz). This is the first outing for this stamp and it has been in the box for a while. I have had issues with colouring this stamp and I think that's probabaly the reason for not using it. I then had this idea to paper piece it instead and love it now. I can see this being used a lot more now.
Last week I unearthed some lovely handmade papers which had studded pieces embedded in them. They are so textural to touch. They were just what I wanted for the paper piecing. (it's lovely when you find things in your boxes). I chose to use these lovely blues as they are a favourite colour of mine.
I used this paper for her coat and used some angel hair for her gown. The trim on her coat is glittered white for sparkle and extra bling. I have also added some gems for dimension.
I have used some more of the paper for the backing papers which has more of a glitter effect. (I know alot of sparkle in this card).
The sentiments are from Papermania and i have added some flowers ribbon bow and feathers for more textural effects as embellishments.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sketchy Colors challenge #100- sketch
Paper Sundaes challenge - 2nd birthday and your favourite challenge(mine is challenge #77 - Paper piecing)
Cupcake Craft challenge 175 - Born on a Winter's day

The first card today uses my favourite stamps - house mouse. The challenge over at House Mouse and Friends monday challenge is Black and White. Now this is a favourite colour combo for me, but I wasn't sure about this and these mice. However I trusted my promarkers wouldn't let me down. and I used the cool greys and love the way you can achieve a sketched effect with these colours.
The backing papers are from DCWV(which I love and are a real favourite of mine). I have wrapped some ribbon around the card which has lovely fabric roses attached to it(Not sure if it shows up so well but hope you can see it.).In the corners I have die cut and embossed some hearts using a spellbinders die and also a spellbinders label tag. the sentiment is from the same stamp set as the image.
The embellishments include a spotty bow and a lace flower cut from some fancy ribbon. Spotty candy dots around the image help to stand it out.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge #111 - black and White
I love Promarkers challenge# 100 - Anything Goes

Well I have managed to keep up with the Saturday scrapbook page. I looked out of the window this morning, and everywhere was white with frost. It made me think that we hadn.t seen any of the "white stuff" so far. My kids love the snow and these photos show the fun they have.
The papers are from Hot of the Press and I have made the title by tracing around some plastic template letters and cutting them out of decorative paper. There is some fabric trim as a border and a die cut snowflake.
Well I hope you like the page and hopefully I will be back next week
Thanks for looking and hope your enjoying your weekend
Bye for now

Happy 3rd birthday
Todays card uses a Lili of the Valley stamp called Abracadabra. This is my favourite stamp in my collection and I love this little boy as a wizard. I have coloured the image using promarkers and added some glitter to his hat and cloak to bling up the stars.
The image has been stamped onto a spellbinders die cut and I have threaded some ribbon through the decorative holes.
The backing paper is from Hot of the Press and I have added three die cut stars down the sides(Marrianne dies). I have added some glittery ribbon and some gems around for sparkle.
The spell book has had a number 3 added to it for a special 3rd birthday wish.
Promarkers used:blush, dusky pink, poppy, gold, spice, honeycomb, cornflower, sandstone, caramel, satin, pastel beige
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Scrapbooking Saturday
This is something new for me. I have done one or two pages before but am very much a beginner. One of the things I want to try and do more of this year is scrapbooking. So as the title suggests I am going to leave saturdays for working on a scrapbook page. It makes a nice change to do something different.
This page has been done to start of the holiday photos. The photos was taken a number of years ago which is why I want to start getting them done now.The papers are from Hot of the Press and the ticket strip is from a tim Holtz die cut. The movie camera symbols on the banner are from a My Crafts studio stamp set and themes in well with the page.
Well I hope to keep on top of this challenge to myself, so watch this space!
Thanks for looking and hope you like it.
