Hello at last!!!

I am sorry for having been so absent lately from my blog as I have just been so busy .
I will come and visit you all again and hopefully things will quiet down somewhere so I can keep blogging at times. For the next 8 weeks things are busy in my household and blogging will be as and when I can!!

However I do have a recent project to share with you all. I was lucky a couple of weeks ago to attend Art From the Heart in Harrogate and attend a workshop with Jim Hankins from USA(well known as The Gentleman Crafter)

One of the classes I was unable to attend(The Spray Ink Holder) I was however lucky to be able to purchase a kit for myself to make.

The instructions inside the kit were fabulous and so well detailed and the quality of the pieces was excellent.
I used papers from Graphic 45 (The Magic of Oz )collection as inside the kit for the side panels were two metal embellishments of Lions. I thought they all went so well with the papers.

All put together and the papers added

Side panels with metal Lion Head embellishments

Top Panel as there is a mechanism on the bottom which when turning this handle allows the box to spin around to the other side.

Complete with my Dylusion Ink sprays

I really enjoyed making this and it is such a useful item to have on my desk holding my sprays together in one place !!

Thanks so much for stopping by and not forgetting I am still here(lol)!!!!
See you again soon

Dragons Dream challenge #193- Green and Quotation

Hello everyone and welcome to a new challenge starting over at Dragons Dream Tag It On challenge.
This week is being hosted by our team mate the lovely Gabrielle.

Gabrielle has chosen for us all:
"Green and a Quotation"

I am disappointed with the way mine is photographing as it is a lot more greener than it looks!!(maybe time to treat myself to a new camera!!!!)
I have used distress ink -Crushed Olive which is one of my favourite green colours. I have also used it in the stains on the flowers but it has blended a bit too much for me to show that.

The quote is from a Sheena Douglass stamp and I have also added a Kanban stamped ticket.

You can find all the details to this weeks challenge here:

Please pop over and see the wonderful inspiration from the Design team and we would so love for you to come and join in with us !

Can I also say thank you to anyone who joined in with my challenge there last week. There were all fabulous entries.

Please scroll down for my earlier post today with the new Stampotique challenge

Thanks for stopping by today. See you all later

Gelli print background

Hello everyone.

So I have been playing this week with my gelli Plate and have so many backgrounds to play with.

Here is the piece I started with here:
Looks lovely doesn't it ! I loved the texture created with the paint being put on a bit thicker than I would usually do.

So what do you do with a piece like this? You make tags!!!!
Yes one background piece cuts into three tags. I have stamped and stencilled onto the backgrounds and then added some collage elements. Stitched around and put on black card to finish them of..

I am joining in with:
Stamps and Stencils challenge - small is beautiful

Hello everyone and hope you are having a good start to the week.

The idea is to create something for 61 days using an index card and prompts are given for you daily to use.
