Anyway today sees a brand new challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop and this week the theme is "Winter Wonderland". We want to see all your projects with a winter theme to them.
Last week I was sorting through some old stamps and came across some Medallion stamps on wooden Blocks. I must have had these stamps for about 10 years. I found the snowflake one and thought it would be nice to have a go at this for xmas. So lots of repeat stamping, heat embossing and layering up- here it is. I nested it onto a siver spellbinders die and attched it with a brad. The greeting is die cut from my new Tim Holtz die .

Reds for Remembrance

Good morning everyone and it's Friday already. I am going to brave it and go to Hobbycrafts this Sunday at the NEC in Birmingham. Need a few things that are hard to find elsewhere!!
Recently I did the online Creative Chemistry course with Tim Holtz and one of the techniques shown was the watercolour stamping one. I really liked the effect so thought I would try it with this stamp. I have not been arty and done a watercolour myself just a clever mix of distress inks and water but such an effective result. I was so pleased with the outcome and reminds me of a vintage postcard image. I love the red colours in the distress inks and these two are Fired Brick and Barn Door.
With this I kept the rest of the card a vintage style and used a spellbinders (Bitsy Blosssoms) for the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the image and they are (A little Bit Sketchy stamps from Sheena Douglass - Poppies and Daisies). This card has been made with Remembrance day in thought for this month.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations challenge 188 - Red's for remembrance!

25 Joy tag

Good morning everyone and hope all is well. I have been a bit poorly over the last few days but hoping everything is settling down now.
Anyway today sees another xmas tag . I enjoy making these and I am going to string them all together and hang them up at xmas so you will see a few more to come..
This one uses a stamp from Stampers Anonymous which I think you can tell by now is definately a big fave of mine. It is such a timeless image. I have used distress inks for colour.
Also this tag sees a big use of Kraft which I am really enjoying using at the moment. I have made a jumbo tag from the Kraft and die cut the pine cones and foliage from Kraft too for a really natural type of look.(I think I am getting better at these pine cones!!!) I'm really pleased the way they have turned out. I have used a new Tim Holtz die for the numbers and greeting and a stamp from Chloe for the flowers.  I really love the look of this one.

I am entering this tag into the following challenges:

Penny Black and more @ Allsorts challenge November (Any Die Will Do)

Vintage car

Good morning everyone and hope your all enjoying your weekend. I went to a great organised fireworks display last night in our town.
Today card is for a male. I find vintage works really well for these and this one uses a stamp from the Stamps Away Pilkington Lane sets. I have stamped onto Kraft using archival ink. The papers are from my stash and I have die cut some cogs from a Spellbinders set. I punched some holes around the stamped image and threaded some rafia string through for some texture. I thought it works well with the image and look. A few buttons for some embellishments.

Hello to everyone and hope your week is going well . This week I wanted to start some christmas tags and browsed back through some of "Tim Holtz 12 days of christmas" for some inspiration. This is my variation on one of them.
I love this image from Stampers Anonymous. I have used distress inks(Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Frayed Burlap).
I also used the Alterations Die (Tattered Pine Cone) which I am just loving. I used co-ordinations card for die cutting and distressed them. I love the look this gives to the pine cone. Curiosities Cube

I know I have been missing from my blog for a week or so. I am sorry if I did not visit and comment during this time.  I will now try to catch up with you all.
I have a project to share with you today which was a recent workshop that I went on at Art from the Heart with Marie. This was to make a Curiosities Cube for halloween. There are a few photos here as I am trying to capture it the best I can.

I loved this one and being able to go and decorate it was great. The box and all the furniture was shown to us and made from Mountboard. We used papers and inks from Tim Holtz to cover the cube and paint the furniture. I added a border from a Tim Holtz die cut around the outside and skulls and skeleton from my collection. There is some spiders webbing cascading all around the top and the windows.
I hope the pictures are good enough for you to see this. I added some links on a chain with some book rings to the top so that it could be hung up somewhere.
Well thanks for visiting me today and having a look at this project.

Good morning everyone and hope your week is going ok so far. The weather is really quite chilly now and gloves and coat time!!
I still have a few flowers in my garden at the moment so thought I would do an autumn card with a flower but still keep the autumnal colour.
The stamp is from La Blanche and distress inks(Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo) were used. I have stamped a flourish on to the background piece. I added this lovely orange ribbon(found at the bottom of my ribbon box!!) . I think it contrasts well with the vintage colours.

A Little Bird Told me..

Good Sunday morning everyone and hope your weekend has been ok so far. I enjoyed the show yesterday and even thinking of going back again today as it is only up the road for me. I managed to get some real bargains yesterday. It was also so lovely to see my blogging Friend Donna again.
Anyway todays card uses the alcohol inks(in case you haven't guessed by now they are a big favourite of mine) I love the vibrancy of the colours.
I have used a central image of the tree from a Creative Expressions stamp set and heat embossed it. I like the grid layout way and thinks it looks great as a window effect.

Happy Birthday

Good Friday morning everyone. I have a busy day planned for tommorrow. First I am going to Art From The Heart for their open day and workshops. After that I am going to the Great Northern Papercrafts show here in Harrogate. It's great as it is only 5 mins away for me!!. Is anyone else going to the show?
Todays card was one of those that could have gone either way and worked or not worked!!!. I have used an owl stamp from Flonzcraft. All the background pieces have been distressed with different autumnal colour inks and each one put into a different embossing folder. Now what happened next was- I had some Copper Perfect Pearls mist on my desk from another project. I wondered what would happen if.... So I went for it and sprayed over the card. It's such a shame the camera won't show all the glimmer but I think you can see it. I think it worked nicely in the end.
The flowers are made from Glassine paper and die cut with a Tim Holtz flower die. They had a light spray as  well.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations challenge183 - sketch(TOP THREE SPOT)
Fab'n'Funky challenge #141- no patterened Paper

Pink Rose

Hello to everyone and hope your week is going ok so far. Soon be the weekend again!
Todays card is really pink for me. I do struggle sometimes with colours if they are not a natural palette for me but with the help of some distress inks it makes it easier. This card uses Worn Lipstick and the new Picked Raspberry set. I have stamped and embossed the background with a flourish and the main rose image is from La Blanche stamps. This has also been embossed.I added the ribbon (which I may add is very pink for me) and I think it really makes the card "POP".

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft challenge212 -Think Pink
The Crafty Pad challenge #190-Floral

Vintage Motor

Good morning all. Today I have a vintage style card to share which uses a stamp from Pilkington Transport stamp sets. I think there is so much detail in these stamps and are great for male cards.
I have stamped in Vintage Sepia ink and embossed with clear powder. The background uses distress inks and a mask of cog wheels. I have die cut some cog wheels from a spellbinders die and arranged them as a border in the middle.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin challenge - Vintage
The Sketchy Challenge - #33sketch
Here Comes the Boys challenge #37 - Monochrome
Challenges 4 Everybody#4-Anything Goes
Make It Monday #109 with digi my World- linky party

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me and stay tuned for some surprise news from me tommorrow

This card uses some new stamps which I was lucky to win and are from Flonzcraft and I am extremely pleased with the way they stamp.
I have made a background with the alcohol inks and stamping with copper embossing powder.
