For those of us in the UK I hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday today.

I have been playing in my journal again and just enjoying the freedom on a page. 

Layers of paint, stencils and texture paste added. Use of inks and stamps and Deli paper( which previously had been printed on the Gelli plate) for the image.

I love the freedom to play and explore products together.

White Space !

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today.

This page took me 10 mins in my journal today as I just played with Distress re-inkers and distress paints. I love "white space" on journal pages but sometimes there is too much temptation to cover it up thinking the page looks just "unfinished"!!
However today I wanted to leave some and felt I had got to an appropiate stage where the white space fits the page.

This weeks Journal 52 prompt is "New Beginnings" so I have chosen to start and not be afraid of white space and try more pages with it included.

Happy Birthday -You Rock

Hello everyone and hope you are all ok. Yes it has been a bit between posts as I have been busy again at college and also a bit under the weather.

And yes I know you are seeing a card!! It's been a while since I made one but I need a few for upcomming birthdays and I have to say it has made a nice change to do something different.

I have made a random background using inks and stamps from Sheena Douglass which I love. The other main stamps are some free stamps from a magazine which I have to say are very good.For colouring I used my Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.

I have put some glossy accents on both the guitar and the record and stamped the sentiment onto a piece for the middle panel.

I decided to use the current Sketch from Sketch Saturday for some inspiration for this card:

FLOWERS

Hello everyone and hope you have all been keeping well since my last visit and yes I know that has been some time!!!!!

So you know those days when you want to create something but have nothing specific in mind and really don't have a plan of action !!! This was one of those days. It feels like ages ago since I just sat and played in my journal.

I started with a painted background and then thought FLOWERS. So a few cut out flowers and adding more paint and doodling this was the page!!! It's relaxing not putting any expectations on yourself and no limits either.
