Coco

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good week so far. I would like to say hello to my new followers and thank you for joining me on my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits here.

Today I have been scrapbooking. This is my crafting buddy, always at the bottom of my table covered in card and mainly double sided tape relief!!!

I have used lots of different Spellbinder dies for embellishing this page for all the foliage and flowers and the pennants. The papers are very old from my stash box.

I have used the current sketch from Sketchy Colors challenge for this layout:

The Documented Life project - week 2 - Selfie page

Hello everyone and hope you are all ok.

So I have been continuing with the Documented Life Project and attempted week 2 which was a Selfie page. Now I will admit to being extremely nervous about showing this one especially as it has a picture on. Never very good at this part but I have done it and it is how I have interpreted the prompt for me. So here you go. I used words from a book page which people who know me will know this is my page- warts and all!!!!

I masked and inked circles before doing the background so the page is a flat layer with splodges around.

Thanks for visiting me today and see you again soon

The Documented Life Project-week 1

Hello everyone and hope you have some good plans for today. The weather still looks a bit grey outside.

This is a page I have made as part of the Documented life project. I have only just started but I don't mind and I will just go on at my pace.
Week 1 was all about incorporating your Front Door into the page.
I made a background with Dylusions spray inks and used some stamps from Claudine Helmunth.
You can see where my front door is and the hand points to where my craft room is!!
As you can see I live at number 15 which is reflected in the bunting as well.

Thanks for visiting me today and see you again soon

I would like to say hello to my new follower Carole and thank you for joining me on my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits here.

Todays card uses stamps from Sheena Douglass from the A little Sketchy range- A Village Mystery.
I love this set and just so typically British!!!

This is a birthday card with tea and cake and some good old British sayings!! I have used distress inks for colours and added some distress glitter to the die cut bitty flower.

London Postcard

Hello everyone and hope your week is going ok. I would like to say hello to my new follower Joanne and thank you for joining me on my blog. I hope you will enjoy your visits here.

Something a little different from me today. I have been looking through all my stamps and realised there are some that I haven't even inked up yet. This set from paper Artsy I bought last year after my trip to London and is only now having it's first outing!!!
I have used my distress inks for colour so I can try and still keep a vintage look to it.

I would like to say hello to my newest follower Em and so glad you have joined me on my blog journey. I hope you will enjoy your visits here.
A monochromatic card from me today and a special 40th birthday. I have used my distress inks (Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord) which has the vintage colour tone. I have die cut some foliage in Shaded Lilac and used the clear distress glitter over the top. I have also used the bitty blossom spellbinders die for the flower.

Hello again everyone and back for my final post today.
This stamp is from La Blanche and is a beautiful image. I have had this stamp for a while now but still love using it. The sentiment is from a new set of stamps from Lindsay Mason designs. I have used distress inks for the colours and the little bingo card from kaisercraft stamps.

Life Book - week 20

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good week so far.

I have been trying to catch up with my Life Book lessons and this weeks really interested me.
Lots of spraying of ink(and yes the obligatory inked fingers!!!) and masking with stencils. The original lesson was shown with a face in the circle but I'm not too good in faces and so decided to change the lesson to suit me.

I love this tree stencil so decided to ink this into the circle above the Lotus Flower. I think it has turned out nicely.

Thanks for visiting me today and see you again soon

Some Journalling .Life Is A Sequence Of Events Called Now

Hello everyone . Firstly I would like to say hello to Nicky and thank you for joining me here on my blog. I do hope you enjoy your visits here and I really appreciate you being here.
Now for something else a bit different from me!!
I am not really known for Bright Colours but more of the distressed range!!

I recently bought these flower Dylusions stamps as I love them. However when I sat down at the desk a journal page seemed very scary!!

And then a fabulous inspiration sketch challenge came to the rescue and I knew the stamps were going to finally get their first ink!!

I have used the current sketch from MOJO MONDAY for this page:

The quote is from a Kaisercraft stamp.

Steampunk Spring

Hello everyone and here's to the start of a new week. Hope you all have some good plans. The weather isn't too good here so it may be the perfect excuse to stay in the craft room.

I would like to say Hello to all my new followers of late and so glad you have joined me on my blog. I hope you will enjoy your visits here and really appreciate it.

So onto today and there just comes a time for me when I really don't want to make a card!! Trying to find other ideas can sometimes be a bit confusing for me. I thought about just having a play day instead. So the plan to pull out a stamp set from the box and see what I could do with it?

Out came - Art Flowers from Creative Expressions by Sam Poole.

Using my distress inks , distress paints ,texture paste and some embellishments I finished by mounting a piece of mount board with some sticky backed canvas and made myself a wall hanging for my craft room. I have attached some chain for the hanger. Have to say I was pleased with the finished result and have something decorative. I hope you like it too !

I have used the sketch from the current challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity this week to help with some inspiration:

Live beautifully

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good weekend.
So I had a little time to myself in the craft room this morning and made this card.

I love this butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft. The sentiment and bingo numbers are also from them.
I have used distress inks - Worn Lipstick with Vintage Photo as I don't like pink really and the brown brings more of a vintage colour which suits me better.

I have made the flowers using a Sizzix die(Tim Holtz - Tattered Pinecone) and added a numeral trinket embellishment from Finnabair. I just love these metal embellishments.

I have used the sketch from this weeks Sketchy Colors challenge:

Dream

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good start to the weekend.

Today sees the start to a new challenge over at Compendium of Curiosities 3 challenge here.
The Curiosity Crew have done some wonderful samples and this challenge is being sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique
.
This week we are using Distress Glitter. Glitter being a product I very rarely turn to , I do however like this glitter because I can come away from my craft table and not look like I have tipped the whole pot over me!!!!!

Here is a close up of my glitter pieces and hope the camera has picked them up well:

I have done a lot of background stamping on this piece and also used some texture paste with perfect pearls. Of course my favourite butterflies stamp sits nicely to the side and the foliage and flowers are Tim Holtz dies enhanced with the distress glitter. The sentiment is from a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamp set.
