Hello everyone and hope your all having a good week so far. My last post mentioned the wonderful time away I had at the weekend with some of my crafting friends.
A group of us met up for the yearly craftathon which it is it's 5th year and this was the first time I had been able to join them. I had a lovely time and full on crafting was done.
A project which we all chose to do was a Stamps Away MDF Mask storage box.
This came flat for you to assemble and decorate yourself.
(warning - a little picture heavy!)
So I assembled mine and then a coat of gesso was applied. I used some Burnt Sienna acrylic paint all over and then covered the box with some Graphic 45 papers - The Secret Garden. (I must say at this point that this was not my original idea- I had a change of mind!!)
I added a metal plaque onto the front with a cut out piece for the label:
I also drilled a small hole in the bottom drawer part to attach a key handle from the Tim Holtz Ideology range. These are screw on attachments so I thought if the drawer was opened regularly just using glue may not have been strong enough for this- this way it is never coming off and it helps the drawer open more easily!!!
I also made a mini journal using the same papers from the set to place in the top storage part.

I was really pleased with my finished project and it was so great to see how different everyone there decorated the same item. So much variety and creativeness.
I am joining in with my project:
Thank you for stopping by and see you soon
