Belated Birthday

Good morning everyone and nearly the weekend. The weather is quite nice up here again today so maybe spring is on the way!!

This is a stamp from Polkadoodles which features an Alice in Wonderland range. I stamped the image using London Fog memento ink for a more sketchy and softer look to the image and make it look like a drawing from the older books..

Now I am not the best with promarkers(admiring all those of you who are talented with them) But have used a selection for the rabbit here.(Dusky Pink, Satin, Pale pink)
For the image I have paper pieced his clothes which I think has worked well.
The papers are very old ones from My Mind's Eye which have been in the drawer for a while.

I thought this really large button suited it well for embellishments with the bow and some smaller buttons in the corners. All keeping to a pastel colour choice..

This card is for the following challenges:
Polkadoodles and Studio 12 challenge 8- Fantasy/Fairy Tale
Sketch Saturday challenge #247-Jen's  sketch
Creative Inspirations challenge 202- Buttons and bows
Fab'n'funky challenge#160 - Pastel colours
Simon Says Stamp challenge - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday challenge #258- something old

Hope evryone has a good day and see you again soon

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Allsorts and this week it is Samantha's choice. The theme is "Animals".
We are also being sponsered by:

I have chosen to use this image of the deer from Indigo Blu. I have used alcohol inks for the background and panels (which have been embossed in the cuttlebug).
It really reminds me of the Scottish highlands which is where I am from and I often see deer like this when I'm travelling there.

Please pop over to the challenge blog here and look at the fabulous creations from the Design Team.

Hopefully after the weekend I shall be able to start and get back into some routine .

Valentine tag

Hello everyone and it's nearly the weekend again! The days seem to go so quick sometimes!!
As it is Valentine's Day today I have made a tag.
The background has been spritzed using perfect pearls mists which I made adding perfect pearls powders to mini misters with distress inks in.I spritzed some card and used this to make the flowers from a set of Sheena Douglass stamps. The petals on the flowers are heart shapes and have little heart shaped brads in the middles. The heart bird image was a free stamp from a previous craft stamper magazine. I have added a quote from an inkylicious stamp and some charms for embellishment.

Sentiment says:
"The most beautiful things in this world can not be seen or heard but felt from within the heart"

This tag is for the following challenges:

Stamptacular Sunday challenge#202 - From the Heart
Tuesday throwdown challenge #134 - Anything goes

Now this is out of my comfort zone as "cute" I do seem to struggle with and admire how you all manage so perfectly with it and the colouring techniques.
I knew that I would be fine with my "All Our Yesterdays CD ROm as there are beautiful cute images on there. This little boy with his teddy looked perfect.

18th Birthday

Good morning everyone . I hope you have all had a good week and I'm ready for the weekend.
It's been rather a busy week for me and yesterday I enjoyed a fabulous workshop with the lovely Kate Crane at Art from the Heart working on Calender Journals. Great techniques and great company.

Today's card is for an 18th Birthday which I need for this month . I have used an image from Art Journey stamps which I just love. This has been stamped on a Postage die cut shape from Spellbinders. I have teamed it up with another stamp of clocks from Inkylicious, a mask background using Tim Holtz masks and an brick effect embossing folder from Creative Expressions.

I have used Adirondack inks - Denim and Pool for a blue monochromatic colour scheme.

The numbers are chipboard from Tim Holtz and have been painted over using a paint dabber. I love these sets for embellishment as there are so many shapes and things to choose from and you can alter chipboard in so many ways.I have just got some new sets and can't wait to play with them.

I used the sketch for Papertake Weekly for this one:

This card is for the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations challenge 199-one for the Guys
Papertake Weekly - sketch time (Sketch above)
Anything Goes challenge blog challenge 85 - Monochrome
Crafts and me challenges#118 - favourite embellishments( chipboard shapes)
Simon Says Stamp challenge - Anything goes
C.R.A.F.T challenge 192 - make a mask/use a mask(Tim Holtz clock background mask)(Winner)

Thanks for stopping by and visiting me today and hope you all have a great weekend ahead planned.

See you later
