Have a Fabulous Day

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
So yesterday I made a batch of background papers using paint and lots of lovely layers. This is one of them.

Today I have used one of them to make a card. Cutting a background piece and then paper piecing over the top of the dress Stamp by Dylusions. I also used a smaller piece to stamp the sentiment on and layered all the pieces together.

Craftathon 2017

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
Well I have had a busy weekend and this saw me attending an annual get together with a group of crafting friends for two days of non stop crafting. We all take a little project for us all to complete in our own individual styles and this was a wooden Monolith which Kathy brought for us all to have a go with.
So in my traditional arty style I added acrylic paints and mark making to the background. Using a stencil and some black paint for the focal dancer image and then adding rub on swirls, numbers and music notes to finish.
I added some Tim Holtz chit chat stickers for the quote

"If you're lucky enough to be different... never change"

It was a fabulous weekend crafting with my friends.

Sunday saw me attend at the NEC Birmingham Comic Con with my daughter. This is a huge event and I was lucky to meet one of my Teen Idols for a 1:1 chat -Toyah Wilcox

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.

I have been playing with my Gelli plate and printing of lots of new pages with string monoprints. They are so useful to have in Bansky image which is very popular and this stamp is from Inkylicious.

Here are my new gelli print selection papers:

More collage...

hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
So we are at the end of another week and heading into the weekend. I am having a bit of a rest this weekend however we do have the craft show here on Saturday at Harrogate.so I am sure I will be paying a visit there and maybe a few new goodies to purchase.
I have been playing with a bit more collage journalling and this doodling can become really addictive and it's knowing when to stop-haha
I have used Dylusions paints for the background as they have such vibrancy in colour against the collage pieces.

Enjoy your weekend

Playing with collage..

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.

It was a busy weekend for me just gone so trying to take a few moments just now to relax a bit and what better way than playing in my journal!
I have been playing with some magazine collage images and trying to incorporate them into my own background pages. This page was made using Dylusions paints(Calypso Teal and Polished jade) on top of a wipe off page from a stencil and some Funky Fuscia Dylusion inks(hence why the munbers are backwards-lol but I like it when things like that happen)
I have added pan pastels in pink and purples around the inside of the collage edges to bring in some depth and shadowing areas
I used some mark making tools and a bit of paint splatters and then added the collage images together. Doodling around with a black and white posca pen and adding some Dylusions stamped leaves to finish it.
I love how thee colours have worked together.

New Design Team Member for More Mixed Media challenge blog

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
Well yes I have some news for you all to share... I am now a design team member for the
More Mixed media challenge blog. I was so happy to be invited onto the team and be able to have another reason to play in my journals and experiment with mixed media styles.

So onto this months challenge and the theme is:

"Anything Goes with the option Green "

I chose to do a journal page and have been playing with the new stencil silhouette releases from Dylusions. Most of my followers will know how much I love using stencils and lots of layering techniques. No surprise then that this page is just exactly all that.
I have used Dylusion paints: Fresh Lime, Dirty Martini and Cut Grass-all from the Greens.
I chose to use black on top as it stands out so well on a layered background. I also layered another stencil inside the silhouette so that more layers emerged.

I hope you will pop over to the challenge blog and join us all in this challenge. We would love to see what you create.
You can find all the details to the challenge here:
