Dylusions and University....

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
So a strange title post you might think?
Well two years ago I set back on an educational route and after nearly two hard years of work I went this week for an interview to university. Today I was offered a place to start in September!!

And a journal page to say it all...
I have used Dylusions paints and stencils for this one.

"As she began moving it was a good opportunity now for her to leave her past still in the distance"

I am certainly going to keep going forward now.....

Dylusional playtime..

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here to day and welcome to my new followers of late and thank you for joining me here on my blog!!
So I am plodding my way through my assignments and finding these little creative breaks in between a big help for motivation!!
Today i thought I would have a play with my Dylusion products. Now this could only mean one thing...yes we were going to get messy!!
But allowing freedom and just playing is my best part about art and who cares about a bit of mess-not me!

A palette Knife....

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
So I am really busy at the moment trying to finish my assignments for college but really felt the need for some creative therapy!!1
So I turned to my journal, a blank page and set to play.
Now I noticed this weeks challenge at Simon Says Monday stamp challenge is "your favourite tool"
Well I have one and I can say that I use nothing but this and only this! Yes I use it for everything and just clean in between...gesso, paint, gel medium, mark making, splattering, stenciling...you name it if I can use it I will!
The reason I started using this is because I was fed up with cleaning brushes and them getting ruined by all the different products I like to use and believe me there can be a real mixture at time. This saves me time and cleans so easily.
So what is it......
Yes my palette knife...
and oh yes...I have several !!!!

Dreaming...

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by today.
So I have been hard at work finishing assignments for college and decided that all the hard work deserved a break.
So what do I do to relax but pull out the journal and just play.

I have been busy with the paints and stencils on the background and then using this wonderful Stencil  from Stencil Girl over the top which I love to do.
I wanted a quote and couldn't find one so I love using my miniature letter stamps and creating my old stamping onto book paper. I think it adds a more personal touch to my pages and means more from the journal point. Just what I needed before I head back to the books-lol

when you just want to scribble....

hello everyone and thanks for stopping by.
So it has been an extremely busy week for me with our show at college finally done. It has been a long time in the making and between us all we produced a fabulous show with eight models all costumed and full body make up and hair styles.

So when your really busy and time is non existent as such there are times when you just want to relax and scribble!!!
Here is one of those pages that I did this week and found it so relaxing to do. Finger painted background and lots of stencils I just put paint on randomly and scribbled some flowers in it. Posca pens for outlines and done!

Love Life...follow your heart

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today. I would love to say Hi to my new folllowers and so glad you have joined me. I hope you enjoy my work.

So Sunday morning and I love quiet time to myself. That just means one thing... time in the craft room and a spot of journalling!!!!!
As we are in the month of February and "Love is in the air...." I choose to Love Life and enjoy moments every day. So this page came out of that and this is what it represents for me.
Red is not a particularly favourite colour of mine as I can find it becomes a bit to dominant for me but I think I have found a good balance on this page with the way I have used it.

Background is texture paste through a stencil and then layers of paint over the top. More stencils, collage butterflies, patterned paper circles and all the stuff I like to play with.

Mini Journaling ....stolen moments...

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by here today.
I have recently joined a new group where we try and make a small piece of art journalling each day in our mini journals. It's a great way of trying to grab those small moments to yourself and just for creating something .
This is my first page and with very little time to spare lately I was able to grab things lying on my desk and literally this did take me under half an hour.( I have to say it probably took me longer to clean up afterwards -haha)
Paint was applied randomly using my fingers and drying speed time with the heat gun.
I used ink with stencils and random mark making tools to add depth and more interest.
The butterflies are cut from a collage sheet and the circles cut from an  gelli plate print. Both applied with gel medium.
To finish I added a rub on quote and the page just grew so quickly.
A well earned few stolen moments in my craft room for me and I can say I am addicted to my little book now!!
