Sunday Stamper- Wheels

Hello again everyone. This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for my earlier one. So after all my chores I thought I would have some more time in my room as I have a busy day ahead tomorrow!

The Sunday Stamper challenge this week is all about Wheels. The images are from a stamp set from Artisic Outpost and has been in my stash for a while. I am ashamed to say today is the first outing for this set. I have also used some cog wheel dies from Spellbinders and a ticket from Stamper's Anonymous.
I must have also used all the brown distress inks on my desk!!! The background has been inked in Pumice Stone and over inked using a  mask with a cog stencil.

I have used the current sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp and rotated it:

Compendium Of Curiosities 3 is back!!!

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good weekend.

I have been really excited to learn that the Compendium of Curiosities challenge was returning and and the first challenge has now started. I loved joining in with the previous challenges and this one will be just as exciting.
You can find the challenge and all the details here and see the wonderful inspiration from the
CC3C curiosity crew.

I have made a min album for my first challenge and this will be the new home for all my pieces I create along the way with the challenges. So I am making my own little mini compendium of curiosities and had to use this word band from Ideology-just seemed perfect for the title of my album. I have also added to this piece one of the Ideology number 3 brad. So the title of my album is 'curiosities 3'
The album holds individual pages inside each with a pocket to place extra pieces in. I have used one of the buckle closures also from the Ideology collection to keep my album closed.

The papers are all from the Tim Holtz paper stash collection- Wallflower and the stamps are from Stamper's Anonymous - Nature Walk.
The distress inks used for the marbelling were- Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Shabby Shutters. I marbelled a piece and then cut one for the main layer and then stamped the eggs  and the (figure word strip)from the remainder of the marbelled piece.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:
Compendium of Curiosities challenge 3 - Marbelling
Country View Crafts challenge#14- new beginnings(new mini album waiting to be filled with lots of new pieces)
Creative Moments challenge 41- Anything Goes/Spring
C.R.A.F.T challenge #256 - not a card(mini album)
Crafts 4 Eternity challenge R#173- use some scraps
Brown Sugar challenge #91 - Anything goes

Just Because

Hello everyone and hope you have all had a good weekend so far. The weather is looking ok so far this morning here in the North.

The old mojo took a bit of a wander again and so I thought let's come out of the comfort Zone and try and kick start some creativity!!! Now I have to admit to these colours definately being outside my comfort zone . They are probably the least used distress inks of mine but it's nice to try and have a play with them. I have used a favourite of my stamps from La Blanche and can feel confident with this image for any occasion.
I have noticed some lovely pale pink roses starting to bloom in my garden at the moment. I moved into my house last summer so I am just seeing my spring garden bloom.

I have used the current sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card:

Vintage Easter Greetings

Hello again everyone. Please scroll down for my earlier post today. I don't post for days and then twice in one day!!!

This easter card I have made a vintage style and is actually a take on Tim Holtz tag for March which I never managed to do!! So I thought I'd use it now and love these stamp images. This is a new set of stamps and I can see me using these a lot!!
There are so many birds in my garden at the moment and it is such a lovely sound to hear them all going about their way and visiting the bird feeders! Shows me that spring has arrived and easter is on the way. Shame about the weather here though!!

The technique used is the smudge stamping one which gives the images a much more subtle look and aged. It makes it a bit of something different for an easter card. The background has been stamped and I have used my new Spritzer with distress markers and a mask. Again it gives a subtle effect but a bit of depth to it.
I have used the following sketch from Sketch'N'Stash current challenge for inspiration :

Tim Holtz Tags 2014 - April

Hello everyone and hope you all had a good weekend.

This project involves the tag techniques from Tim Holtz this month. I have made a mini album with mountboard and envelopes to store my tags in so they don't get damaged and a lovely way to keep my collections together.
I really loved the look of this month's tag and the shabby chic look to it. I have used some of my new Wallflower paper pad inside the new Frameworks die. The flowers and foliage are from the tattered Pinecone die.

Here is a pic of the album inside and where I will keep my tags:
