Back to the Drawing Board....?

Hello everyone and hope you are all ok. It has been a while since posting again and sorry if I am behind with catching up on your blogs. I am getting there although rather slowly!!

So today as the title of my post says.. it was back to the drawing board for me(literally). Recently I will admit to a lack of mojo in the card making area and have been needing to find something for my creativity from somewhere else. The last few months have seen me tending to sew and gather fabrics around me more than paper. I used to study textiles a long time ago and I seem to have a passion for wanting to return back down there again.
Now observational drawings have been too long rested for me so here is my first attempt back there again-armed with some good reference books and a good trusty set of pencils. I'm not sure where all of this is going to take me yet but I think it will be fun finding out!!! I have to say I had forgotten how relaxing sketching can be and really enjoyed myself with this piece.

I hope you will continue to follow me now that my card making is of less lately and let's see what happens. I could not give up paper crafting as I like my inks and stamps too much for that but I'm sure there is a place now for both paper and fabric to come together.

Thanks for visiting me today and see you again soon

More of week 6 - Life Book

Hello everyone and hope your all having a good week so far.

I so enjoyed this weeks lesson on Life Book and have been having a go at the other piece.

This week focuses on composition and negative space. Now normally all that white space left would not be my style and more ink would have to be put down.

However this is the point of trying different things and processes and I love it on here. Everything seems to go together so I'm very happy to leave all this negative space on this piece and  not cover it up.

Thanks for visiting me today and thanks for all your supportive comments on my journey through Life Book. As it something that has been very different for me I have appreciated all your positive feedback.
Thank you so much
See you again soon

Life book - week 6 Lesson

Hello everyone and hope your all ok. Life has been quite busy for me recently so I really enjoyed having a bit of play time to myself and this weeks Life Book lesson was perfect for that.

I love the colours of Dylusions sprays so felt really happy with using them.

I have had a few issues with myself recently over my face pictures and was just about ready to throw in the towel where this area was concerned!!!
However this weeks lesson involved a side view and I do feel so much more comfortable with this angle!!
I know it's not perfect but I feel I am learning and growing more each time.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and see you again soon
